“We’ll definitely go ahead and apply for it and we’ll see where that takes us,” Houston said.
Houston did not play his first three seasons while ineligible by the NCAA for testing positive for a banned substance that he said he unknowingly took for a shoulder injury. He met the required threshold before preseason practices in 2013.
Houston said he can apply after the regular season finale against Georgia Tech.
“As times coming down to it, I’m making that decision to probably come back,” Houston said. “When I look at it, I’ve got the whole rest of my life to go work, but I’ve only got one more year to play college football.”
