Today's Dawg Post Throwback Story of the Day adds yet another look at a time in Todd Gurley's career at Georgia. As of today Georgia plans to appeal the NCAA's ruling of a four-game suspension for the junior tailback.

As of Jan. 13, 2012, however, Gurley was just making his college decision. We all know who he picked.


TARBORO, NC – Georgia has added another top running back to their class of 2012.

The Bulldogs received a commitment from Todd Gurley, a four-star running back recruit from eastern North Carolina. "Georgia just felt like home every time I went there," Gurley said. It felt like the place I needed to be."

Gurley ran for more than 2,500 yards and 36 touchdowns last year. He was the pivotal player in Tarboro's 39-36 win over Lincolnton in the state championship game as he accounted for four touchdowns and 242 yards.
