Gurley ACL surgery "successful"

ATHENS - Running back Todd Gurley is doing “very well,” after undergoing surgery Tuesday on the torn ACL in his left knee, said Richt, who has texted him.

“He actually shot me a picture of him,” Richt said. “I said, ‘Is this before or after surgery?’ He said, 'It’s after.’ I said, ‘Well, you look pretty good.’ We’ve texted back and forth and of course (director of sports medicine) Ron Courson has been updating us.”

Georgia called Gurley’s surgery "successful". Gurley sustained the knee injury in Georgia’s win against Auburn on Nov. 15.
