Insider Report: Recruiting Trail Report

Georgia’s coaches are sprinting around the South trying to improve what is considered the second-best recruiting class in the country.

Defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt spent the first part of the week with Jarvis Wilson and his parents. He then went to Johnathan Abram's school on Tuesday morning. Both players are expected to enroll early in Athens.

Georgia seems to be surging towards signing Chidi Valentine-Okeke. He will officially visit this weekend. Meanwhile Will Friend was at his school on Tuesday. The official visit to Georgia is one of three. Valentine-Okeke will also officially visit Auburn next week and Alabama the week after that.

According to recruiting analyst Chad Simmons: “Georgia is in the lead for Valentine-Okeke by a considerable margin at this time.”

Georgia also stopped by Langston Hughes Tuesday to check on D'Andre Walker and Montavious Atkinson. Both are still being pursued heavily by Georgia, and both are planning to take official visits to Athens.

Rocker and Bobo spent time at Westover Tuesday.  All is good with Trenton Thompson - he is so excited to be a Bulldog.  Thompson and Rocker are already talking about next fall and how the big man can make a big impact.
