Bobo to Interview for Colorado State Job

ATHENS - Mike Bobo is set to interview for the Colorado State head coach opening.

Mike Bobo has been at Georgia for all but one season of his coaching career, but he will interview soon with Colorado State, according to a report in the Athens Banner-Herald. Bobo spoke with Georgia Southern last year about their job opening.

Bobo is coming off another stellar year in terms of offensive production. The Bulldogs lead the SEC with a 41.7 point-per-game average. That average is the most in Georgia football history by nearly four points.

Colorado State is reportedly interviewing a slew of candidates. Bobo, if he were to stay at Georgia, could be in line for a significant pay raise. He currently ranks 40th among college football assistant coaches in pay according to USA Today. His $575,000 pay annually is behind Jeremy Pruitt's $850,000.
