1997

The fourth-ranked Lady Bulldogs swim team took down No. 17 Alabama, 155-136. Freshmen Kristy Kowal and Courtney Shealy, who would both become Olympic medalists, led Georgia with victories in the 100-meter breaststroke and the 50 and 100-meter freestyle events, respectively. The Lady Bulldogs went on to win their first of five straight SEC championships later that year.
