The Lady Bulldogs basketball team handily took down No. 6 Southern, 77-56, in what was a clash between two of the nation’s premier programs at the time. Just two days after being named SEC player of the week, Janet Harris finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds in front of the 7,544 fans that watched from the Georgia Coliseum. The Lady Bulldogs would go on to finish 29-5 that year and reach the national championship game before falling to Old Dominion, 70-65.


Four-Star Avon (IN) defensive end Montez Robinson commits to Georgia.


Three-star Lee County wide receiver Sanford Seay commits to Georgia.
