Dawgs: Game Not About Grantham

ATHENS - Damian Swann doesn't want the Belk Bowl to be about the Bulldogs trying to beat Todd Grantham.

"I'm smart enough to understand that this is a business,"Swann said. "We have no need to make this game personal. This game is not personal. It's Georgia vs. Louisville.” Quarterback Huston Mason viewed it differently. He said playing against Louisville and Grantham "gives our guys a lot of motivation. I really don't think you have to worry about that at all."

He said defensive players that played for Grantham will want to play their best game in front of him.

Inside linebacker Amarlo Herrera, who spoke to Grantham earlier this year, downplayed it, saying it was like facing former Bulldogs defensive line coach Rodney Garner the last two years at Auburn.

Mason said Louisville's defense under Grantham looks familiar.

"A lot of the same blitzes and type of stuff he did here, he’s doing there," Mason said.
