Dawgs Make Contingency Plans

ATHENS - On-campus bowl practices for Georgia began like they ended with offensive coordinator Mike Bobo still in the mix to be head coach at Colorado State.

Head coach Mark Richt said Saturday morning after the team broke for the holidays that he didn’t know when there would be more clarity on Bobo and the Colorado State job.

Bobo interviewed this past week.

“I don’t know,” Richt said.

Asked if he had to prepare in case Bobo wasn’t coaching at the bowl, Richt said: “We’ll have a plan for everything. I can say that.”

Richt was the play-caller for Georgia until Bobo took over at the end of the 2006 season.

Colorado State played in the Las Vegas Bowl Saturday against Utah under interim head coach Dave Baldwin, the team’s offensive coordinator.
