Late Saturday night, Georgia's aggressive recruiting continued.
This time the Bulldogs put an offer out to Gainesville DB Chris Williamson
, according to Scout.com's Chad Simmons.
Williamson has become one of the hot recruits of late. Along with the Dawgs, Florida, Notre Dame and Virginia Tech have all offered Williamson recently.
The three-star prospect has been committed to both Duke and Cal in the last year. His only official visit so far has been to Berkley. He has a tentative official visit scheduled for North Carolina next weekend.
“If I feel that a certain place is home for me, then I will commit to that school,” Williamson said.
Georgia commit and GAC ATH Darius Slayton tweeted late Saturday night that there was no need for other schools to pursue Williamson - that he was going to Georgia.
"(There's) really no point in recruiting (Chris Williamson) he's going to UGA. I taught this man the game back in (Gwinnett Football League)," Slayton tweeted.
