Dawg Post Recruiting Scoop

T-minus two weeks until signing day, and Georgia is making all kinds of moves.

Let’s start with the big moves. Georgia offered former Wisconsin OL commit Sam Madden on Tuesday. The three-star is listed at 6-foot-7, 325 pounds and will take an official visit on Jan. 23, national recruiting analyst Chad Simmons reports.

Trenton Thompson will not be visiting Alabama this weekend. The strong UGA commit, as Simmons called him, will only be visiting Georgia come Jan. 30.

Chris Williamson, a three-star athlete out of Gainesville, Georgia, met with Mark Richt for the first time on Monday. Williamson was very impressed with Richt, according to Simmons. While not visit has been scheduled yet, dates are being discussed and there will be one coming up.

D’Andre Walker looks to be more heavily leaning towards Georgia than expected at this point, according to Simmons. He will take his official at UGA the final weekend before signing day (Jan. 30).

New in-state OL target Nick Buchanan has been collecting more offers, but Georgia is his still very prominent among them, according to Simmons. Buchanan is coming to Athens Friday for the first time as a recruit, Simmons reports. Keep an eye on this guy.
