Dawg Post Official Visitor Preview

ATHENS - Georgia will wind down the final weeks of recruiting with a few official visitors this weekend.

Barnegat (NJ) OL Sam Madden, Westlake DL DaQuan Hawkins, Cal commit and Dunwoody OL Nick Buchanan and Georgia commit and Grayson DL Justin Young are all visiting will all be in Athens this weekend for the penultimate recruiting weekend of the year.

Madden had been committed to Wisconsin until recently, but a sudden departure of the former head coach forced him to de-commit. Georgia is still looking for offensive linemen, but Madden might be a long shot - still, he's a shot nonetheless.

Hawkins, a three-star defensive lineman, holds a slew of high-level offers, but he’s had a relatively quiet recruiting process. We will see how much recruiting ramps up for him after this weekend. Georgia wouldn’t have him up if they weren’t interested in signing him.

Buchanan has been committed to Cal for month, and he maintains that he’s committed to the Bears. But Georgia is trending for him according to Scout National Recruiting Analyst Chad Simmons.

Young, who picked the Bulldogs last March, helped Grayson have one of the top of defensive lines in the state this past year. His commitment is considered strong.
