Report: LSU Interviews Tony Ball

Tony Ball has interviewed for the vacant LSU WR coach position, according to a report.

"Georgia wide receiver coach Tony Ball was in Baton Rouge on Wednesday morning interviewing with LSU for the same position, according to a source close to the situation," the The Times-Picayune reported on Wednesday.

Ball has been the receivers coach at Georgia since the 2009. He came onto Georgia's staff in 2006 to coach running backs.

The Times-Picayune report goes on to call Ball "a serious contender to replace Adam Henry, who left for the San Francisco 49ers over the weekend." And further reported that Ball would If "the Tigers extend an offer, Ball would strongly consider accepting the position, sources said."
