Cochran Adds 4th Offer; From Dawgs

Georgia got into the mix today for a big offensive tackle.

GAC OL Devin Cochran, who is 6-7, 300, picked up an offer from his him-state Bulldogs at Georgia’s junior day in Athens.

“Georgia offered me today,” Cochran said. “It is my fourth offer.”

Vanderbilt and Tennessee have also offered Cochran.

“This actually was my first time at Georgia on any visit except for a camp that my school participated in last year,” he said. “I was very impressed with the new coaching staff as well as the facilities and campus.”

Cochran was taken back a little by getting the scholarship offer today, he said. In fact, he wasn’t even headed to Athens, but the winter storm pushed his college visit travel east instead of north.

“The offer surprised me a lot. To be completely honest I was going up to Tennessee but due to the weather I went right down the street to Georgia,” Cochran said. “When I was asked to go down to talk to Coach Richt, my family and I were very surprised and when he offered me I was ecstatic. Coach Sale's is an awesome guy and so far he's really cool to talk to and seems like he's a great coach as well. Overall he's a downright cool guy.”

Cochran admits that he isn’t far enough along in the process to have a list of favorite schools yet.

“Honestly right now I'm just sitting back and letting schools come to me so I really don't have any favorites yet. I probably won't be truly judging that until the fall before signing day,” he said.
