Gaillard Thinking About Move to Offense?

ATHENS - Rob Sale helped close the deal on Georgia’s four-player offensive line recruiting class in February.

He added another player in practice Thursday with redshirt freshman Lamont Gaillard moving from defensive tackle to offensive guard.

Whether the 6-foot-2, 305-pound Fayetteville, N.C. product sticks on offense remains to be seen.

“We were just testing the waters with him,” Sale said. “He did individual (work) with us and did some drills. The other drills he did D-line. It’s just not fair to thrust him into team (drills). Obviously he wouldn’t know what to do, but at least you can evaluate him sliding his feet, one on one pass pro and doing boards and explosion things and things like that to see if he has the ability to do it and he showed some promising things.”
