Dawgs Get Speedster in Young

ATHENS - Once again, Georgia recruiting is on a roll.

For the second day in a row the Bulldogs got a commitment from one of the top players in the South when Malek Young picked Georgia over a host of schools.

“The Bulldogs have been on top for a while and their persistence paid off,” Scout.com Florida Recruiting Analyst Corey Bender said of Young, who has been selected to play in the US All-American Game in San Antonio this winter.

Young’s commitment follows the commitment of 4-star offensive lineman E.J. Price on Thursday. Young, considered a three-star defensive back, is Georgia’s 9th commitment of the 2016 recruiting cycle. The Bulldogs now have players committed from four different states - Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and Washington.

“They really are doing a great job of recruiting locally and nationally,” Scout National Recruiting Analyst Chad Simmons said after Young’s commitment.
