Wilkerson Making a Move?

ATHENS - Reggie Wilkerson’s strong spring two years ago as an early enrollee had him poised to be in the rotation in Georgia’s secondary.

Season-ending surgery to his right knee after an injury in a summer passing drill changed that.

Wilkerson returned last season but played just one game against Troy, but now seems to be making his move.

The 5-foot-11, 181-pound Citra, Fla, product played with the first-team defense at the star nickel back position in Saturday's scrimmage, free safety Dominick Sanders said. Wilkerson registered four and a half tackles.

Cornerback Malkom Parrish had five tackles and two pass breakups and Aaron Davis had three and a half tackles, an interception and two pass breakups.

Tramel Terry had six tackles playing cornerback on the second team.

“He looked pretty good,” Sanders said. “He’s a more physical player. He’s got the right mindset and he’s got 100 percent effort every time he touches the field.”
