UGA Leads, Rocker's a Key

It is beginning to be a common theme -- when a defensive lineman says UGA leads, Tracy Rocker is involved...

No need to really ask anymore.

If Georgia is pursuing a defensive lineman and he names the Dawgs his leader, defensive line coach Tracy Rocker is a big part of that.

This time it is in-state defensive tackle Michail Carter. Rocker is a coach he respects, likes, and could see himself playing for.

Carter was back in Athens, Ga. Tuesday and the Dawgs are still the school others are chasing.

"Georgia is at the top," Carter said. "I had a great visit today and I loved it."

The 6-foot-3, 311 pound Jackson, Ga. native spent time with Jeremy Pruitt and Tracy Rocker this visit and he speaks highly of both UGA coaches.

The four-star doesn't plan to commit until later this fall, but the Bulldogs are in the good spot right now.

"Like other schools, Georgia has my major, but it is also close to home, it is a great program, and I really like Coach Rocker."

Rocker is a key here. Carter, like most other UGA defensive line target know his backgorund as a player and a coach. Most want to play for a coach like that.
