Barnes had his top choices narrowed down to Ole Miss, South Carolina and Georgia. The three-star target had visited Athens several times throughout the spring before finally committing to the Bulldogs on the same day as the spring game.
"I used to play video games with Georgia as a kid, so I have always liked them. I am ready to get back up there to watch practice, spend time with the coaches, and just have fun,” Barnes said before visiting in mid-March.
Though he plays guard for Lee County, Barnes looks to be a tackle for the Bulldogs.
Barnes is the fourth offensive line commitment Georgia has snagged. He is listed at 6-foot-3, 278 pounds.
