Chubb makes most of light workload

Fewer carries didn't seem to bother the big-name RB

Star tailback Nick Chubb didn’t get too many touches Saturday, but scored on a 17-yard run for the Red team in the third quarter.

“It was wide open,” Chubb said. “Anybody could have done that.”

Chubb wasn’t exactly kept in bubble wrap to avoid injury, but he wasn’t used too much. Just like the previous two scrimmages.

He got six touches Saturday--three carries for 34 yards and three catches for 23.

He even got a carry in the final minute as the Red team tried to tie the game.

“Just always willing to help and always willing to play,” Chubb said. “I didn’t do much the whole game so it was great to get out there.” Coaches have had Chubb focus on third down work in scrimmages.
