The 6-3, 268 pound 2016 offensive lineman was told by his trainer, Michael Butler, that he had a future in football. And so he pursued that notion.
The nearly 20 Division-1 offers Anchrum has accumulated proves that Butler may just be correct.
Anchrum, son of a former USC basketball player Tremayne Anchrum, plays guard and tackle for the McEachern line but enjoys playing tackle more, because at the tackle position you "gotta have skill and a certain grace."
How does the three-star lineman develop that grace? Well, to stay in shape, Anchrum said he boxes and does yoga.
While football looks to be his next step in life, Anchrum said he wishes to pursue a career in meteorology, as he is interested in scientific studies such as weather and nature.
While at MVP Camp in Atlanta, Anchrum talked highly of Wake Forest due to school size and academics.
