Here’s a quick look at the skilled players coming in on Thursday…
4-star Houston County WR Darion Anderson, is the only commit who will be in action on Thursday, and he will have a very good quarterback throwing him the ball. 4-star Houston County QB Jake Fromm doesn’t have an offer from Georgia yet, but that’s about all he’s missing on his offer sheet.
4-star 2017 Brunswick OL Dante Demery is a key young lineman to watch on Thursday. The Bulldogs haven’t signed a player from Brunswick in some time, but Demery is one to watch. He’s young, but he’s already got offers from the Bulldogs, Florida and Auburn. He’s joined by WR Shawn Smith, who has visited Georgia before, but doesn’t have an offer yet from the Bulldogs does have offers from Florida and Auburn.
2017 Jonesboro WR James Walker already has an offer from the Bulldogs, so it will be interesting to see this 6-4, 207-pound receiver get after it. Clemson, Florida, Michigan and Georgia Tech have offered the Clayton County prospect.
2019 Grayson DL Owen Pappoe might be the best young player in the state. Tons of schools have already offered the rising freshman… yes, he’s never played high school football before. This will be Georgia’s chance to set an early impression of Pappoe for the long four years ahead. He’s joined by 2017 Grayson OL Will Taylor. At 6-3, 261, Taylor still has some mass to add to his frame. He’s another player to keep an eye on Thursday.
4-star Rabun County TE Charlie Woerner will visit Athens for the second summer in a row for a seven-on-seven camp. He wowed spectators last summer with his stellar play - specifically his ability to go up an snatch the ball in traffic. Woerner is a prospect Georgia is very interested in signing.
2017 Locust Grove RB Caleb Huntley wears No. 1 on Friday nights. He’s going to be a guy Georgia pays some attention to on Thursday.
Norcross has three 2017 prospects to keep an eye on Thursday. Two, QB Baron Radcliff and WR Jared Simpkins don’t have an offer from the Dawgs. But DE Robert Beal does have one. The 6-4, 216-pound defensive lineman has all of the major offers needed to show that he’s a legit high-level prospect.
2017 Aquinas WR Justin Gibbs was one of the top performers last summer at Georgia’s 7v7. He’s still got two more years left in recruiting. The 6-2, 200-pound receiver currently has an offer from Mississippi State.
Morgan County, just south of Athens near I-20, has three very good prospects. 4-star DL M.J. Webb couldn’t believe it when Mark Richt offered him last fall. Now, everyone has - Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Tennessee and Michigan are just a few. He will be one of the top overall players at the camp. 2018 LB Quin Williams will also be in town for the 7v7.
