Georgia 7v7: Friday Preview

ATHENS - June is here, and with that come important camp weeks.

This week the Bulldogs are hosting two seven-on-seven camps with a slew of prospects and even some commits in town. Here’s a quick look at some of the players who will be in town participating in camps this week.

Here’s a quick look at the skilled players coming in on Thursday…

Already committed to USC, 4-star North Gwinnett Josh Imatorbhebhe will be in town with Bob Sphire and his Bulldogs. Georgia has offered Imatorbhebhe, but he’s considered firm to the Trojans at this time.

One of the top young players in the state, 2018 Thomson ATH Christian Tutt has been offered by a slew of schools inlacing the Bulldogs, Alabama, Auburn and Georgia Tech. Tutt lives just down the road from Athens. Georgia will have to hold off much of the South if it wants to sign Tutt.

A 2017 DB, Joshua Brown will travel from South Atlanta with his Langston Hughes teammates for another trip to Georgia. D’Andre Walker and the Panthers won a 7v7 at Georgia last year, and that time in Athens really helped Georgia with Walker, who was considering Tennessee and Auburn at the time.

4-star Grady DB Marlon Character will be in town with the Grey Knights. Character recently tweeted that Virginia Tech, South Carolina and Ohio State are his top three schools. In April, Georgia was in his top six. Recruiting never ends.

Louisville, Miami and South Florida have all offered 2017 North Florida Christian DB Lyn Strange. He will be in town with teammate 2018 LB Jalen Norwood.

3-star 2016 May WR Randrecous Davis has an offer from Syracuse and Kentucky. He and the rest of the Raiders are expected on Friday.

2017 4-star Callaway WR Braylin Sanders will be in Athens on Friday. He’s considered one of the top playmakers in west Georgia. The Bulldogs and Ole Miss have offered the 6-0, 170-pound receiver. Another young player, rising freshman Keiondre Jones is 6-3, 254 pounds right now. He’s a 2019 prospect from Callaway. He’s one of the top young players to keep an eye on at this camp.

Will 4-star Cedar Grove DL Antwuan Jackson join the parade of big men committing to play for Georgia? Jackson, who will participate in The Opening later this summer, is considered the No. 98 player in the country by Scout. He’s got offers from Georgia, Auburn, Alabama and the rest of the blue-chip programs in the South. 2017 4-star DB Tre Shaw is already racking up offers left and right - including one from Georgia. 2017 OL Netori Johnson committed to Alabama after he got an offer at the Tide’s camp on June 1st, but he will be with the rest of the Saints - as will 2016 3-star LB Elysee Mbem-Bosse, 2017 QB Jelani Woods and 2017 OL Justin Shaffer.
