UGA Five to Watch

Chad Simmons gives Dawg Post a heads up on five guys to keep your eye on this week

1. Georgia still seems to be the top school for 2016 wide receiver Kyle Davis, but after visiting Tennessee, the Volunteers may have emerged as Georgia's biggest competition, according to Scout recruiting analyst Chad Simmons.

The Tennessee staff has been in regular contact with the four-star receiver our of Archer. He will be in Athens this week for camp so expect coaches to be giving him a lot of attention.

2. Bailey Hockman, a 2017 quarterback who cold possibly be Jacob Eason's follow-up, is on commitment watch, according to Simmons. There is a high chance of him committing this week, likely when he and visits Athens on Friday to compete in the 7v7 camp with McEachern.

3. Hockman isn't the only McEachern kid who should be on your commitment radar. Tyler Simmons, a four-star 2016 target being recruited as a corner for the Bulldogs, was offered by both Georgia and Alabama recently. The Bulldogs has really been turning up the recruiting with this athlete and "could be trending," according to Simmons.

4. Five-star tackle Derrick Brown will be back in Athens on Thursday for 7v7. Though he doesn't plan to commit until 2016 (like NSD), Georgia will surely continue to show him that he is a top priority.

5. Miller Forristall, a three-star tight end out of Cartersville, will be in Athens on Thursday and Simmons believes that he could very likely get an offer, pending he performs well. According to Simmons, Forristall is "very athletic, great size, smart and has so much upside." He already has an offer from Alabama, but Georgia would easily have a shot if they offer.
