Dawgs Start Season at No. 9

ATHENS - Georgia picks up where it left off last year - ranked No. 9.

That news came today when USA Today released the Coaches' Poll. The last time the Bulldogs started the season ranked No. 9 in the Coaches' Poll was in 2003 when the Bulldogs fell in the SEC Championship game to LSU. Georgia started last season ranked No. 12 in both polls.

This is the fifth time in Mark Richt's tenure that Georgia has been ranked in the top ten to start the season (2003, 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2013). Georgia ended the year ranked in the top the in each of those seasons save the injury-filled 2013 season.
