ATHENS - Final news and notes from UGA's first scrimmage of the fall.

Punter Collin Barber, who had a shaky spring, “has been punting much better,” compared to how he finished in the spring, Richt said. “Big difference.”

Tailbacks Nick Chubb and Sony Michel got a lot of first team work, Richt said. Michel said he scored on a goal-line touchdown run.

Richt indicated there were no significant injuries. “It looked like we came out of there pretty clean,” he said. “I didn’t see anything injury that looked like something, but every once in a while you wake up tomorrow and find something so we’ll just have to wait and see on that.”

Georgia won’t practice Saturday, but the team will be at Sanford Stadium for the annual Fan Picture Day.
