UGA Getting Back Healthy

ATHENS - Injured linebackers Tim Kimbrough and Reggie Carter returned to practice Monday in regular jerseys.

“They’re just kind of easing their way back into it,” Pruitt said. “If we played a game on Saturday, they both could play obviously. We’re just letting them kind of get their feet and kind of slowly get them back in there.”

Kimbrough missed nearly two weeks with a leg injury.

Pruitt indicated the Floyd has gotten even more inside linebacker work with Kimbrough and Carter out.

“With some injuries we’ve had he’s been the guy that’s kind of plugged in with whoever’s out,” Pruitt said. “It’s been good for him and it’s been good for us as a defense.”

Fullback Quayvon Hicks also returned in a regular jersey after being out with a pulled hamstring. Wide receiver Justin Scott-Wesley didn’t practice, but served as sort of a student assistant. Coach Mark Richt indicated that Scott-Wesley’s right knee injury sustained last week puts his availability in question for the season. He was backpedaling like a defensive back against receivers at one point Monday.
