Fall Practice Notes - September 6

ATHENS, Ga. -- The University of Georgia football team practiced for approximately two hours Thursday at the Woodruff Practice Fields. The Bulldogs worked out in helmets, jerseys and shorts in preparation for Saturday's game versus South Carolina.

"Today was a typical Thursday," Georgia head coach Mark Richt said. "It was all scout team work with the offense and defense trying to simulate South Carolina. It was not as crisp as I would have liked but it was not bad. We'll iron out a few things tomorrow and be ready to go."

Georgia (1-0), ranked No. 24 and No. 25 in this week's ESPN/USA Today and AP coaches polls, respectively, opens Southeastern Conference play versus the 24th-ranked Gamecocks (1-0) at Sanford Stadium Saturday. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN with a 7:45 p.m. ET scheduled start.

All Georgia football games can be heard on NewsTalk 750 WSB and the WSB/Georgia Bulldogs Radio Network.
