That’s what some players on No. 8 Georgia insisted Monday night of Saturday’s game against No. 13 Alabama.
“The approach is the same, our routine is the same, we’re not talking about it anymore than we did,” cornerback Aaron Davis said.
Added offensive guard Grey Pyke: “Alabama is the next team and we’re going to prepare just as well as we do every week for a team. It’s nothing different. I think people are saying it’s the big game, but I think it’s just treat it like it’s any other game that we have.”
Except it really isn’t like any other game. It’s mighty Alabama, which has beaten Georgia the last two games in memorable games in 2012 and 2008, one oh so close and another a blowout.
“It’s my first time playing Alabama,” Pyke said. “I’ve never played against them. They’re a very good team. I think that we have our work cut out for us as an offensive line because they have very good defensive lineman. …You kind of prepare a little bit harder in practice. You know that these guys are some of the best.”
