ATHENS - News and notes from Monday's practice at Georgia.

Kentucky gametime set

The kickoff time for Georgia’s next home game against Kentucky is now set.

The TV network the game will air on is still to be determined.

The Nov. 7 game in Sanford Stadium has a noon start time. It will be shown on either ESPN, ESPN2 or the SEC Network with an announcement to come after this week’s games.   Georgia plays No. 11 Florida Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in Jacksonville on CBS.

Kentucky is 4-3 overall, 2-3 in the SEC after losing back-to-back games to Auburn and Mississippi State.

This and that

While tailback Brendan Douglas watched the Tennessee-Alabama game Saturday, offensive tackle John Theus said he didn’t “watch one down of football Saturday,” during the Bulldogs’ open date. He spent part of his day watching movies and “just chilled.” …Georgia’s indoor practice facility won’t be ready until 2017. In the meantime, Georgia practiced in steady rain on Monday afternoon. “The weather wasn’t ideal, but it did not impact the way we practiced,” Richt said. “We got the work in that we wanted. I thought the guys showed a lot of purpose and focus and energy coming off their break.”
