Georgia LB Jordan Jenkins expected to play

ATHENS - Georgia HC Mark Richt saw a healthy Jordan Jenkins in practice this week.

Jenkins poised to return:

'He looks good'

Outside linebacker Jordan Jenkins missed his first game at Georgia against Missouri due to a groin injury, but continues to look like he’s ready to return Saturday.

Coach Mark Richt said Jenkins improved from the Monday practice to Tuesday and the plan is to bring him on the trip.

“Jordan’s practiced this week, he’s done a good job, looks good,” Pruitt said. “We’ll see how he does Saturday.”

Jenkins has started 38 games for the Bulldogs, including 32 straight before missing the Missouri game

He is tied for the team lead with three sacks and leads the team with 7 ½ tackles for loss.

Jenkins is one of a handful of returning defensive starters from last year’s Florida game.

Pruitt downplays what carryover there may be from last year’s game when Georgia gave up 418 rushing yards since it’s a new season.

“There’s some lessons to be learned from the coaching staff for sure,” he said. “For the players, they lost a lot of guys, we lost a lot of guys. I don’t think last year’s game will

have any bearing for what happens for the 60 minutes down there Saturday.”
