Schottenheimer Done at UGA

ATHENS - The Brian Schottenheimer era of playcalling is over.

The former UGA offensive coordinator told players on Monday that he would not continue with the program through the bowl game. Schottenheimer is the third coach, along with former head coach Mark Richt and former defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, to leave the program since the end of the season.

Sources say that Schottenheimer is likely to end up back in the NFL, and that a stint with the Chicago Bears is what he’s considering.
