Ramsey Coming on During Bowl Practices

ATHENS - Backup quarterback Brice Ramsey is practicing “very well” in preparations for Georgia’s bowl game, interim head coach Bryan McClendon said.

“That’s definitely a decision that we’re going to make coming up here shortly just as far as once we go into the game prep week,” McClendon said. “Going into that week, we want to know exactly who’s going to be where and who’s going to do what and then go from there.”

If that sounded like Ramsey was pushing to overtake Greyson Lambert as starter, McClendon clarified.

“Greyson will start,” he said.

McClendon said junior offensive right guard Greg Pyke has “been working in there” with the starting unit. If he returns to the lineup, Brandon Kublanow could shift back to starting center ahead of Hunter Long.

Coaches will evaluate personnel from the on-campus bowl practices.
