Trey Blount, a 2017 wide receiver at Pace Academy in Atlanta, is one of the top receivers in the state. UGA Coach Kirby Smart came through Atlanta today and stopped to check in on the 6’3, 192-pound playmaker
“Coach Smart came by earlier today.” Blount said. “He (Smart) said he’s going to be knocking down my door to get me to Georgia.”
Former Georgia head coach and current Miami head coach Mark Richt came by to see Blount yesterday.
“Coach Richt told my coach that he wants me bad and that I’m one of the top overall players on their board.”
Meeting Georgia coach Kirby Smart was something Trey has been waiting on for some time. “I was really excited to see him.” Blount said. “Georgia is still very high on my list. I wish I could have taken a picture with him or talk to him but the NCAA doesn’t allow it so he just talked to my coach.”
The silky smooth receiver is a great athlete, and dominated on both sides of the ball during the state playoffs this year, leading Pace Academy to a state championship. He has good hands, is deceptively fast, and does a great job of making the first guy miss, and gaining yards after the catch. He’s a clutch athlete that plays his best when it matters most.
Trey was one of the top performers in this year’s Rising Seniors game, and is a name to remember for the 2017 class.

As of January 12, 2016 - Brown is an elite talent that has been targeted by schools nationwide. He has been and still is a top target for the Dawgs. Georgia is trying to get bigger and stronger up front and Brown could provide that.
As of January 18, 2016 - Chad Simmons: “Bama does not feel they have a GREAT chance… ND likes their spot right now... UGA feels they are in it... ND feels UGA is out, but Bama is a threat... Stanford has not been involved in a while, but most still felt the Cardinal is the team to beat.”

As of January 13, 2016 - Chad Simmons is reporting that Alabama's Nick Saban and Jeremy Pruitt will visit with Hardman on Thursday.
As of January 12, 2016 - Explosive as they come. A special talent who can be dynamic on the football field. A selfless young man who could shine at slot or cornerback. Another playmaker who can make an immediate impact.
As of January 13, 2016 - UGA will see 5-star DB Nigel Warrior on Thursday, the first day schools are able to get back on the road to recruit.
As of January 12, 2016 - A coveted defensive back with speed, ball skills, and instincts that will be able to sign where he wants. A top target for Georgia who is very high on Alabama's board, so with Smart's move to Athens, this helps the Dawgs.
As of January 18, 2016 - Said of his official visit to UGA: "Georgia is where I could live."
As of January 13, 2016 - UGA will see Scout 100 DE Brian Burns on Thursday, the first day schools are able to get back on the road to recruit.
As of January 12, 2016 - The Dawgs want Burns, an elite pass rusher with length and speed to the ball. At one time UGA was considered the favorite, but Florida has taken that spot, but expect Smart and his staff to turn things up here in January.
As of January 19, 2016 - UGA seems to have the gut feeling that Alabama will sign Simmons.
As of January 18, 2016 - Wrapped up a great offical visit to UGA by saying: “I do not think Kirby is going to take no as an answer from me.
As of January 13, 2016 - UGA will see Alabama WR commit Tyler Simmons on Thursday, the first day schools are able to get back on the road to recruit.
As of January 12, 2016 - There is a big need at wide receiver for Georgia and Simmons is a wanted prospect, even though he picked Alabama a few weeks ago. He is now planning to take his official visit in January and that could be key. He is a wide receiver with track speed.
As of January 12, 2016 - With the need up front on the offensive line, Allen is expected to be a big target for Georgia moving forward. He is a big body from an elite high school program who could play tackle or guard.
As of January 14, 2016 - Sam Pittman is set to see the Archer offensive lineman.
As of January 12, 2016 - Price is a one-time Georgia commit and it could come back full circle. He is an offensive lineman with the ability to move around and play multiple positions.
As of January 19, 2016 - Davis told the Athens Banner-Herald’s Marc Weiszer that UGA is telling him that he can fill a very important void. “Kind of like Floyd,” Daivs said. “Playing a role like he plays. I kind of model my game around him. I watched him play when they played Missouri and they won. It was a great game. That’s kind of what I like about him.”
As of January 18, 2016 - Made a lot of his visit to UGA and hanging out with Kirby Smart on Twitter. The Bulldogs seemed to make some read headway with the top linebacker in the country.
As of January 12, 2016 - Not long after the announcement of Kirby smart taking over Georgia did David reveal the Dawgs were his new No. 1 school. Still, he is an Alabama legacy, so he will not be an easy pull out of the state of Alabama, but Georgia is a legit contender.
As of January 12, 2016 - The combination of Carter being a one-time Alabama commit, his interest in Georgia, and the need in the secondary for UGA, this is a big target. He knows Smart well, so we will see if that helps.
