Keep an eye on 5-star DL Brian Burns and 4-star WR Tre Nixon. Insiders have let Dawg Post know that the Gators’ coaching staff thinks that that duo is now leaning towards Georgia. Leaning at this time is not the same as “going to sign with”, however. Keep in mind that the Gators still get to host both recruits, so hold on.

That duo helped Pace win its first state title in football in December. Thomas is considered the No. 206 overall prospect in the class of 2017. Thomas was offered by Mark Richt and his staff last March. Richt, too, went by to see the players at Pace today. Salyer has been pursued the most by Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Blount camped at UGA’s Dawg Night this past summer.
