Commits Dixon & LeCounte to Visit UGA

ATHENS - UGA will host two of its three 2017 commitments this weekend.

4-star Liberty County DB Richard LeCounte and 4-star Grayson LB Breon Dixon will visit UGA this weekend with a host of other players.

LeCounte has been vocal about his intent to have all of the top players in state sign with the Bulldogs. Considered the No. 26 overall player in the country, LeCounte was the first commitment of the Kirby Smart Era in Athens.

“I just want to represent my state,” LeCounte said. “I think I can tell you that I am pretty popular with other guys, and I will reach out to them. We want to build a dynasty at Georgia.”

“There is not much LeCounte cannot do on the football field,” Scout recruiting analyst Chad Simmons said. “He is an athlete who is starting to fill out, add strength. He has a high ceiling.”

Dixon, the No. 260 overall player in the country, picked the Bulldogs over a slew of schools including Florida and Alabama. He picked UGA on Christmas Day in 2015.

“I just felt like it was the right time, and I just decided to wait and do it on Christmas with all of my family,” Dixon said when he committed. “The coaches at Georgia make it special.  The coaches that Kirby (Smart) is bringing in are all great, and they all have a winning attitude. That’s something I really like about them.”

“He has good speed and toughness,” Simmons said of Dixon. He’s very strong and plays with speed and always seems to be around the football.”
