Get to know the name Chad Terrell. The 2017 reciever from North Paulding (GA) has great size at 6-foot-3 196-pounds, and is a smooth route runner. Terrell has never visited Athens before, and he is excited see what the Bulldogs have to offer this weekend.
"I am very excited to see the campus!" Terrell said. "You know I grew up a Georgia boy so the Bulldogs have always been a team to think about. I'm ready just to see the campus inside and how they run things internally compared to what I've seen already."
Terrell admitted that wide recievers coach James Coley was the one who reached out to Terrell and asked him to come visit. Terrell does not currently hold a Georgia offer, but one could very well happen down the road. Terrell has the potential to be one of the top five wide recievers in the state of Georgia for the 2017 class next February. Terrell claims 9 offers at the moment, with South Carolina and Georgia Tech being the two biggest.
I spoke with a North Paulding coach last Spring who belived Terrell could be just as good or even better than former North Paulding and University of Gerorgia wide reciever Chris Conley, who currently plays for the Kansas City Cheifs. Terrell also played in last year's Rising Seniors game in December.
On film, Terrell shows good hands and does an excellent job of catching the ball above his head. He gets yards after catch and could evelop into a major red-zone threat in jump-ball situations. He is a good possesion receiver, but still shows good speed and ability to get behind the secondary.
Look for Terrell and Newton (GA) wide receiver Jeremiah Holloman to start gaining more and more offers in the coming months. Both have good size and good hands.
Terrell finished his junior season with 51 catches for 826 yards and 10 touchdowns.
