Jaylen Griffin is a 2017 linebacker out of Rome, Georgia, and is taking an unofficial visit to Georgia today.

Griffin has not bursted onto the recruiting scene just yet, but the talented linebacker claims one off from Illinois but it gaining interest from schools like Auburn, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Florida, and Florida State.  The 6-foot-2 203-pound linebacker belives that more offers could be on the way.

"I think Wake Forest and Florida are close to offering."  Griffin said.  "Georgia and Louisville seem just as excited about my upcoming visits as I am."

Griffin is traveling today to see Georgia for the first time, and is excited to see what the home-state school has to offer.

"I'm really excited to meet the coaches and tour the campus."  Griffin said.  "Hopefully they will see what I can add to their team and extend an offer."

An offer to Georgia could really put them in the driver's seat for Griffin's services.

"I'm like most Georgia boys."  Griffin said.  "I've alwasy dreamed of playing for Georgia and becoming a dawg!"

One team that has also caught Griffin's attention are the ACC champion Clemson Tigers.

"I like Clemson alot too."  Griffin said.  "I've been to a couple of their summer camps and it was a great experience.  Head Coach Dabo Swinney was pretty cool."

Griffin believes that some strengths to his game are his knowledge of the game, his speed, versatility, and cover skills.  He is a very determined young man who works very hard to get better stopping the run and working on his coverage skills.

Griffin is an instinctive linebacker who tackles very well with decent speed.  Look for his recruitment to start picking up shortly.
