“I’ll be in Athens tomorrow,” Cartersville QB Trevor Lawrence tweeted Friday night.
That’s a big deal for the Bulldogs, who have been seen as trailing for the 5-star prospect. At 6-6, 186, Lawrence is physically gifted and has already won a state title in high school. He still has two years of high school remaining before enrolling in college.
“Lawrence just has ‘it’,” Scout National Recruiting Analyst Chad Simmons said. “He has the intangibles. Sure, he is still young, but he has a chance to be one of the top prospects in the country for 2018.”
