2018 lineman recaps Georgia visit

Tackle Deontrey Hill out of Houston County (GA) is a top lineman in the 2018 class and talks about his latest visit to Georgia

A name getting more and more attention in the 2018 class in Houston County (GA) offensive lineman Deontrey Hill.  The 6-foot-4 330-pound lineman and really enjoyed his visit to Athens with his family.

"The part I enjoyed the most was talking to offensive line coach Sam Pittman and getting to know him."  Hill said.  "I really liked him and head coach Kirby Smart."

Hill is a big man who fits what Pittman is looking for in a lineman.

"We talked about how they want big offensive lineman with great feet."  Hill said.  "They said they really like my film when they watched it."

No offer was extended to Hill at this time, but that doesn't mean one wont be offered soon.

"I think they could be close to offering."  Hill said.  "I have to go back up there and visit with coach Pittman so we can have a good understanding of each other.  I think I'll try to get over there again in June.

Hill visited Auburn earlier this month and will visit Florida State this weekend.  Right now he looks like a true guard prospect with his size and strength, but could also play tackle at the next level as well.  Has good size but needs to tearn some fat into muscle in order to become an elite prospect. Hill plays with toughness and exceled in run blocking during his sophomore season.  Look for other schools to try and get the top 2018 prospect on campus sooner than later.
