4-star Mississippi RB Cam Akers visited Tuscaloosa on Friday and now is visiting the Bulldogs on Saturday.
“Akers is a strong, physical back who can run through tackles,” Scout National Recruiting Analyst Chad Simmons said. “He sticks his foot in the ground and gets down hill.”
The Bulldogs will have to sign at least two running backs in the class of 2017, and Akers would be a major flip and get. He’s considered the No. 2 RB in the South and the No. 82 overall player in America.
This won’t be Akers’ first trip to Athens. He took in Dawg Night in the summer of 2015. “He’s always had interest in UGA,” Simmons added.
