Poole, Other Top Prospects in Athens

ATHENS - UGA’s 11th practice of the spring will have several high-level prospects in attendance.

South Gwinnett DL Justin Mascoll, Stockbridge RB Jalen Holston, Lanier DL Mike Allen, Holy Innocents WR Mykel Tubbs, Westlake DB A.J. Terrell and Hapeville Charter DB William Poole have all indicated on social media that they will be in at Georgia on Thursday. All are considered targets for the Bulldogs - but particularly Poole and Mascoll.

Likely a future Scout 100 player, Mascoll is already considered a four-star 2018 prospect. He has a slew of offers, and it appears UGA’s main competition is Clemson and the rest of the SEC. Poole was considered a UGA lean until his visit to Gainesville recently. Now the Bulldogs and Gators are fighting for the No. 146 overall player in the country and the top cornerback in Georgia.

Chad Simmons is reporting that Scout 100 DE Robert Beal and family will be in Athens Thursday as well as 2018 S/CB Myles Sims, 2017 WR Corey Reed and 2018 CB Christopher Smith. Sims, Reed and Smith don't have offers from the Bulldogs yet.
