Fromm to Recruit on G Day

This won’t be the first or last time Jake Fromm will visit UGA. But, to be clear, he will be at G Day on Saturday.

“I’m going to enjoy watching the game and to recruit guys,” the four-star quarterback told Chad Simmons.

Fromm has been to Athens for some practices this spring - including the first scrimmage of the season a few weeks back in Sanford Stadium. But the atmosphere in Athens should be dramatically different for Fromm and those dressed in Silver Britches this time.

University officials are preparing for more than 93,000 to watch the event. Now ranked the No. 31 overall prospect in the country, Fromm said he flipped his commitment from Alabama to Georgia because of the future he thinks that new coach Kirby Smart will provide.

“I’d like to thank Coach (Kirby) Smart and the staff at UGA for also giving me the opportunity to play football and continue playing the game I love at the school that I have rooted for my entire life,” he said just after picking the Bulldogs.
