Chaminade Madonna Prep receiver Xavier Williams is one of the top sophomores in the country, and four schools are standing out early for one of Florida's best.
"The schools I'm hearing the most from right now are Oklahoma, Georgia, Florida State, and Alabama." Williams said.
While he has not taken any visits lately, Williams said he does plan on visiting West Virginia for their spring game. He also said he wants to visit Clemson and South Carolina soon as well, two schools who have surprisingly not offered Williams yet,
One of the schools that has got William's attention early is the Georgia Bulldogs. Williams currently holds a Bulldog offer, as he was offered by the coachong staff on February 20, one day after Florida State and Alabama offered. Williams said he has already established a solid connection with one of the new Bulldog coaches.
"I like wide receivers coach Stacey Coley." Williams said. "I like his coaching ability. I like that he has sent a lot of giys to the NFL. He was very welcoming at Miami and I just liked him as a coach."
Williams admitted he doesn't know a ton about the Georgia football program just yet, but knows they have had quite a few great receivers come play "between the hedges".
"A.J Green was one of my favorite players growing up." Williams said. "I just know some good receivers have come through their program."
When watching film, Williams shows strong hands, play-making ability, yards after the catch, and the ability to make a tough catch over a defender. The 6-foot-1 185-pound Williams said he plans on visiting Georgia, Florida, and Florida State all during the summer.
