Top receiver puts Georgia in top 3

One of the top prospects in Florida for the 2018 class is Pine Forest (FL) receiver Jacob Copeland. Copeland's recruitment has been gaining momentum the past couple of months and currently holds offers from Georgia, Florida, Miami, Mississippi State, and West Virginia.

Many schools have been coming hard after the speedy Copeland after an impressive performance at The Opening in Orlando.  One of those schools that has caught Copeland's attention is the Georgia Bulldogs.

"I was excited about the Georgia offer." Copeland said. "Coach Kevin Beard contacted my coach and made sure he knew that I had an offer from Georgia.  Both he and wide receiver's coach James Coley recruited me when they were at Miami so I know them pretty well.  I would consider Georgia to be in my top three schools right now."

So what about Georgia intrigued the speedster from Pensacola?

"I love the fan base at Georgia."  Copeland said.  "I like coach Coley a lot too.  He once told me I have a special talent that could change the game.  He said if I ever come to play for him and work hard that I could start no doubt."

Copeland has not visited Georgia before, but said he plans to take an unofficial visit sometime this summer.  The 6-foot-0 190-pound Copleland said he grew up a fan of both Georgia and Florida, but is hoping to land an offer from Baylor and TCU in the future.  Copeland also said that both education and football will play a factor in his decision.

"I want to make sure the program I choose is set up well both athletically and academically."  Copeland said. "Can't go wrong living in Georgia though!"

Copeland caught 35 passes for 771 yards and 12 touchdowns during his sophomore year.
