Top National Player Visiting UGA

DeAngelo Gibbs, one of the top overall players in the country, will visit Georgia for G Day.

That’s according to reporting from Scout National Recruiting Analyst Chad Simmons. The 5-star player transferred from Peachtree Ridge to Greyson recently, and is trying to settle on his college destination.

“Gibbs is a special talent. He can do about anything you want on the football field from an athletic standpoint,” Simmons said.

Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Clemson and Tennessee have recruited Gibbs very hard as has everyone else in the South.

But Gibbs said he's eager to see what happens when former 5-star QB Jacob Eason takes the field at G Day.

"Im just going to see the recruits ball like Jacob and some others," he said. "I also want to see how Kirby runs the game."

Gibbs is considered the No. 3 overall player in the country by Scout.
