Dawg Post G Day Recruiting Insider Report

ATHENS - The exclusive insider report from Dawg Post and Scout's National Recruiting Analyst Chad Simmons.

—  TD Moultry, the 4-star LB out of Birmingham (Ala.) Jackson Olin decided NOT to visit.  He was at Alabama today.  The Tide has been hot and cold with him, but they have turned it back up and if they want him they could lead.

—  Matt Landers, a tall, rangy WR out of St. Petersburg (Fla.) made it up.  Coley has been on this big WR.  He is still in Athens now, so I will check in more with him in the coming days once he gets off campus.

—  UGA became the first school to offer 2019 DE Nolan Smith out of Savannah (Ga.) Calvary Day.  He was surprised by the offer.  Schumann gave him the news.  He is going to get a lot more.  Already 6-2, 210 pounds.

—  Malik Herring was 50-50 going into this visit about making a decision in Athens, but held off.  He is still a BIG Georgia lean.

—  UGA impressed Scout 300 WR Jeremiah Holloman, but Tennessee still has the edge.  He said it is very close and Georgia is in the top two, but that Tennessee is still No. 1.

—  Netori Johnson was in town and he took his mother with him.  He said his mother loved it there and that she loved the coaches.  I have heard (not from him) that he is very close to a decision, so we shall see...  UGA is in this, but Auburn could be the one in the lead.  This visit definitely helped UGA.

—  UGA had top 50 RB D'Andre Swift out of Pennsylvania back in town, and his interest is SERIOUS in the Dawgs I am hearing.  This is something to keep an eye on.  He was just down a couple of weeks ago and he was back today.

—  Georgia is wanting 2018 ATH Christian Tutt and take a role in leading the 2018 recruiting class.  He admits he has thought about it and that Georgia is very high on his list, but as of right now, he wants to wait a few more months before making his decision.  Today was visit No. 3 for Tutt in the past six weeks.
