WR Mark Webb is one to really follow. The Pennsylvania native was really impressed with Georgia when he was on campus just over a week ago. He had Georgia high on his list before the visit, then afterwards he clearly declared the Dawgs his leader. I see UGA taking five WRs in this class as of now. They are actively recruiting Nico Collins as well, but he is still somewhat of a longshot right now.
— Georgia has a chance to put together a great DB class and things are looking better for Scout 300 safety/corner A.J. Terrell. Mel Tucker loves him. Kirby loves him. He has great length and he appears to be high on the UGA board. Florida was his school growing up and the Gators are UGA's biggest competition, but behind the scenes, I am hearing Georgia has made a big push and that Terrell may even know where he wants to go already. Things see to really be trending UGA's way here at this time.
— Defensive tackle Aubrey Solomon of Lee County spent a couple of days in Athens last weekend and that was huge. IMO, it was a true game-changer for him and the Dawgs. There has always been talk about UGA being involved, and they have been, but I can say with confidence that before this visit, Georgia was really trailing a couple of schools. Georgia is trailing no more — everyone is trailing them. Solomon's mother will play a very big role here and UGA has done an excellent job with her recently. Solomon is UGA's top interior defensive lineman target right now. Solomon committing to Michigan over the weekend was, put simply, shocking.
— If you did not see my interview with Markaviest Bryant this week, watch it, you will see just how he feels about the Dawgs. UGA is in a very good spot here too.
— Another ILB target that not many talk about with Georgia is Monty Rice of James Clemens (Ala.). He took a visit to Athens last weekend and the Dawgs are one of his favorites. Georgia is still working hard on him and Alabama LB K.J. Britt.
— Staying on ILB targets... Tennessee commit Marquez Bembry is in contact with Georgia and he is a kid to watch on the recruiting trail next month. He is pretty strong to the Vols, but he is a kid I hear UGA really likes. He is very athletic with size and UGA is likely going to host him in July again. Florida is coming on here as well. Just another name to know.
— I will end with a 2018 note... Justin Mascoll is one of the best in Georgia for that cycle and he is a STRONG Dawg lean. His mind may have been made up already, but he is staying uncommitted to help other teammates be seen. Georgia is in a VERY good place for this future Scout 100 talent out of South Gwinnett.
