2016 SEC Media Days: Brandon Kublanow Q&A

HOOVER, Ala. - UGA OL Brandon Kublanow talks with the media at 2016 SEC Media Days

On expectations for Coach Smart

“Coach Smart obviously has high expectations, as we always do at UGA. I think he’s going to do a great job. He’s an amazing coach, he’s done an amazing job so far during the transition and I’m really excited to play for him.”

On the difference between Coach Smart and Coach Richt

“I don’t know if Coach Smart is really that different, but we’re having a great time. He runs around all over the field, I think he’s an amazing coach and he’s really doing well.”

On quarterback Jacob Eason

“Jacob has done a great job. He’s come in and worked hard – obviously he’s under a lot of scrutiny [as a freshman] – but we feel like all three guys have done an amazing job and we’ll see how [the quarterback competition] goes during fall camp.”

On spring practice

“Practice has been intense. Most people say the easiest part of game week should be Saturday, and the hardest part should be during the week so that’s something Coach Smart has really instilled in us.”

On UGA’s reputation as a running school

“Obviously the passing game is an important component, but at Georgia we have a reputation as a hard-nosed offense and we take pride in our ability to run the football.”
