Dominick Sanders: It's Time to Get to Work

HOOVER, Ala. - For junior strong safety Dominick Sanders, it is time to go to work.

When discussing new head coach Kirby Smart, he said there is no time for relaxing. “If you’re slow motion you are not his type of guy, you better be ready to get the job done.”

For the defense, they are adjusting to the scheme that Mel Tucker brought with him. “He is an aggressive guy too and he is teaching me how to be a man off the field away from the game too.”

Sanders preached the brotherhood that has manifested itself within the Bulldog locker room in the aftermath of recent arrests. “We are gonna make mistakes. You have to learn and those guys came back stronger... we let each other know we are here for one another”

The pressure on Georgia this year will mainly fall on Coach Smart but Sanders re-iterated that it is also up to the guys to put in the work and be held accountable. Sanders urged that, “The main thing is what we are doing to apply to the team.”

The time has come to focus and Sanders and the rest of the Georgia team will adopt the aggressive mindset that Coach Smart has established. “He’s aggressive so we just have to be ready to play ball and get the work done.”
